Learning the Steps to Desire

This whole quarantining process is dull and repetitive. I wake up late, go to work, come home and go on my phone for hours, eat then repeat. And that’s just how life was. I had always been a simple person I thought but I was bored out of mind. I would look for entertainment in any way I possibly could even if it meant making a tower of random things on my kitchen table and watching it fall tragically and get all over the place. But things changed as I went back to school and could finally see my friends again. However it only lasted a week and next thing I know I heard a pop and was on a stretcher heading to St. Peter’s Hospital. Unfortunately I tore my meniscus and stretched out my LCL. I guess that happened out of boredom since I would run three miles a day to occupy my time and it just built up. It’s weird to think that after having surgery and learning how to walk again and bend my knee would be the highlight of my Covid-19 adventure. It gave my life more dimension, learning how to do something again that I had taken for granted before much like my life before Covid-19.
